Invalid Debris - A YPTC Film

Announcing the arrival of INVALID DEBRIS, the new YPTC film coming 2008

“15th of July 2004, and on London’s Southbank 7 British Secondary school students wake up with their lives changed forever following the previous day’s events. However they will not find that out until four years later exactly on the 14th July 2008. Based on a true story ‘Invalid Debris’ takes you on a psychologically thrilling journey that deals with the horrors of ‘happy slapping’, the human condition of altering realities, the raw child of the human archetype when forced into the dark and a fight for justice in an unjust city.”

The tone and look of the film relies heavily on the differences of a few basic themes; the obliviousness of people who move through London detached from their surroundings. In particular violent events that go unnoticed in the middle of a conditioned society where altering perspectives diminish the brutality of the event. Colourful backdrops of younger days give way to dark, moody and insipid arguments to punctuate the almost sickening altering perspectives.
